Pushed myself a little extra today by doing a 7.47 mile walk with 164 feet climbed in 2:00:04 hours along the shoreline on a beautiful fall morning in Long Beach, California. Tortoise rating: 6.8. Update: This not only qualified as a Benjamin Category Upgrade walk, it was a full 10 kilometers and then some. :-) Please click below for a map, pictures, and more ... Cheerio!
Getting started. This building made me think of Jacob.
Found a fun fishing pier to walk
View back downtown where I came from today
So ... why are we fishing here?
I love seeing benches on piers
Benches and birds ... makes me smile and think of my sweet
Always love playing volleyball at the beach, but settled for watching today.
Glad to see the pier honors veterans. Thank you for your service!
Have to remember this is here, might be fun to rent one of these bikes some time ...
All done. Worked up a sweat on this one :-)
Time to reward myself with a Souplantation lunch, yum!
Today's last word ... including reading in Matthew 8 and 3 Nephi 21 ...
"Strong moral character results from consistent correct choices in the trials and testing of life. Such choices are made with trust in things that are believed and when acted upon are confirmed."
—Richard G. Scott, "The Transforming Power of Faith and Character"
Read that four or five times ... slowly ... different layers of meaning will come forth with each
reading. Remarkable what Elder Scott, clearly under inspiration, packs into two short lines.
Looks like a total day in the Cali sun! Thanks for sharing!
