13-21

Two walks today.  Went home at lunch and walked with my sweetie up Main Street as far as 200 North, then retraced our steps.  1.5 miles, 45 feet total up and down, in 34:23.  Average pace 2.7 mph.  Heart beat averaged 95, never got over 100.  Had a surprise near the end of the walk as you can see from the picture ...

Our nephew, Kevin Despain, decided to escape the cold and smog of Salt Lake for the holiday weekend.  He stayed with his brother Ryan and family in St. George, but rode our way today and just happened to be riding down our street as we were walking!  I am the tortoise, he is beyond hare, probably closer to gazelle.  He bicycled here from St. George (20 miles) in 1 hour 15 minutes.  His return trip, with more downhill, was even quicker!  Very nice to see him for a few minutes and share a quick lunch before he continued on his way..

Then I had an early dinner, ran an errand, and then parked the car at the bottom of the LaVerkin Overlook Trail.  Walked up to our usual halfway point, then turned around and retraced my steps.  Garmin lost contact with the satellite near the bottom, what it did record was 0.95 miles with 339 feet climbed in 29:53, after which I returned to work for a few more hours this evening.  Heart rate ranged from 89 to 140 and averaged 118.

Chapter 13 totals through 21 days, 27.13 miles walked, with 4,030 feet climbed, in 10:57:03.

I ate 2909 calories today.  Took my Youngevity supplements and vitamins; also put Duracream on my hands, arms, face, and neck to heal sun damage.  Took Crestor, Omega 3, and cortisol support with my dinner.

Today's final word ...

from reading in Luke 17 and 2 Nephi 11 ...

"In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back."
"Remember aLot’s wife.
"Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall alose his life shall preserve it."
