"The Blog Almost Too Boring To Be The Most Boring Blog in America ... for Over 5 Years!"
until it got too many red cards from Wounded Duck and the Boredom Enforcement Committee ... now the tortoise's goal is to get to 10 red cards so he can get Big Dog to drive down and take a good long walk with the tortoise
P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

Troop 1 met tonight in Eagle Mountain to award Brian Smith his Wood Badge beads. It was very exciting to see him again. Brian was a very special Owl in our W2-591-12-5 group, and it was great to be a part of his beading, as well as to see our troop guide, Scott Anderson and also Jed Anderson again.
This and other business sent Tortoise north on a quick trip, so today's walk was along the Jordan River Parkway starting on Willow Lane in Lehi, going through the county campground at Willow Park, and continuing to milepost 5 and then retracing my steps. Total distance walked was 3.75 miles, with 40 feet climbed, in 1:07:44 hours. Tortoise rating was 5.5, while 585 calories were burned. For a map, pictures, and an M. Russell Ballard thought I heard along the trail, please click below to continue reading ...
