"The Blog Almost Too Boring To Be The Most Boring Blog in America ... for Over 5 Years!"

until it got too many red cards from Wounded Duck and the Boredom Enforcement Committee ... now the tortoise's goal is to get to 10 red cards so he can get Big Dog to drive down and take a good long walk with the tortoise

P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

13-12

Went to my niece Sidney's baptism this morning, worked this afternoon at the library in St. George, then got in a 1.6 mile walk with 20 feet of climbing in 29 minutes in a circular path from Main Street to about 150 West around the water play area between the library and the Tabernacle.  I did this loop 4 times.  Then I headed to Maude's 2nd birthday party at Jacob and Hilary's.  A fun day!

Chapter 13 totals through 12 days, 15.86 miles walked, with 2,348 feet climbed, in 6:24:09.  Eating totalled 4102 calories.  Please click here for

Today's final word ...

From reading in Luke 11, 2 Nephi 2, D&C 1 and more ...

"And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, ateach us to bpray, as John also taught his disciples.

"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

                                                                                               -- Luke 11:1,9

And the days of the children of amen were prolonged, according to the bwill of God, that they might crepent while in the flesh; wherefore, their state became a state of dprobation, and their time was lengthened, according to the commandments which the Lord God gave unto the children of men. For he gave commandment that all men must repent; for he showed unto all men that they were elost, because of the transgression of their parents.

                                                                                               -- 2 Nephi 2:21

Cheerio!
