"The Blog Almost Too Boring To Be The Most Boring Blog in America ... for Over 5 Years!"

until it got too many red cards from Wounded Duck and the Boredom Enforcement Committee ... now the tortoise's goal is to get to 10 red cards so he can get Big Dog to drive down and take a good long walk with the tortoise

P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

13-22

Had a brief window to sneak in a walk this afternoon while driving doing errands, so I parked my car at Valley Academy and headed up most of the way up East Cinder Knoll.  The picture is looking southeast, with the shadows of approaching evening starting to darken the reddish trail.  1.00 mile walked, with 275 feet climbed then descended, in 24:34 minutes.  Heart rate ranged from 83 to 138, averaging 112.

Please click here for more details of my day ...

Chapter 13 totals through 22 days, 28.13 miles walked, with 4,305 feet climbed, in 11:21:37.

I ate 2723 calories today.  Took my Youngevity supplements and vitamins; also put Duracream on my hands, arms, face, and neck to heal sun damage.  Took Crestor, Omega 3, and cortisol support with my dinner.

Today's final word ...

From reading in 2 Nephi 12 and more ...

"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."
—Thomas S. Monson, "Living the Abundance Life", Liahona and Ensign, January 2012
