"The Blog Almost Too Boring To Be The Most Boring Blog in America ... for Over 5 Years!"

until it got too many red cards from Wounded Duck and the Boredom Enforcement Committee ... now the tortoise's goal is to get to 10 red cards so he can get Big Dog to drive down and take a good long walk with the tortoise

P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

Day 70 walk - I felt somewhat sore this morning, and so walked just a little slower - 5.04 km (3.13 miles) in 00:55:31 (4 minutes longer than yesterday on the same path). Had a nice surprise when Sarah and Abigail met me for most of the last mile!  Climb was 29.0 m (95 feet). Burned 548 calories.
Series 2B totals 171.26 km (106.39 miles) in 36 hours 31  minutes, with 1975.0 m (6479 feet) climbed in 7 counties of 6 states. Humana Fit map at end of this post.
Here is a wonderful hymn sung by the Tabernacle Choir in the Sunday morning session of October 2010 General Conference that I listened to on this walk today:  "Dear To The Heart of the Shepherd".  Please click on this link and enjoy it:
