"The Blog Almost Too Boring To Be The Most Boring Blog in America ... for Over 5 Years!"

until it got too many red cards from Wounded Duck and the Boredom Enforcement Committee ... now the tortoise's goal is to get to 10 red cards so he can get Big Dog to drive down and take a good long walk with the tortoise

P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

Day 97  - I walked 2.57 km (1.60 miles) and climbed 24.1 m (79 feet) in 00:26:18.

Series 2B totals 239.56 km (148.89 miles) in 50 hours 1 minutes, with 2454.0 m (8050 feet) climbed in 9 counties in 7 states.

Today's walk was the same course as yesterday, and my battery died en route.  I was averaging 3.67 miles per hour when it happened with a quarter mile to go, and I did continue what I believe to be the same pace so tonight's walk is recorded using that pace.  I purposely decided to back off just a little from last night's pace.  I had been averaging about 3.2 miles per hour the past couple weeks and decided to take Josh's suggestion to increase pace in 10% increments a couple weeks apart.  So my goal was more like 3.5 miles per hour tonight, but I did a little better than that ...

No HumanaFit map tonight because of the battery failure ... you can look at last night's post to see it if you like.

I read Ezekiel 33 and 3 Nephi 11 today, but did not listen to a conference talk because of the low battery when I started.  For the record, I left the phone charging for 2 hours before the walk, but the charge didn't take ... Sorry.

Here is eating for today.  I barely kept within the calorie target, compared with other days this week, but with Boyd Hepworth's funeral and all the work Willyne and I did for it, I just stayed hungry all day.  At least I did stay within the target. :)
