We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

3-23

Walked 1.06 miles in 21 minutes this evening, including 43 feet climbed.  Chapter 3 totals are 20.64 miles walked in 8 hours 11 minutes, with 301 feet climbed and 150 meters swam in 7 minutes.  Here is a map and additional detail on the walk:

I listened to "Coming to Ourselves: The Sacrament, the Temple, and Sacrifice in Service" by Elder Robert D. Hales while walking.  Here is one segment that summarizes his thoughts:  "As our desires to learn and live the gospel increase, we naturally seek to serve one another. The Savior said to Peter, 'When thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.'10 I am impressed that today’s youth have deep desires to serve and bless others—to make a difference in this world. They also crave the joy that their service brings.  However, it is difficult for youth to understand how present actions will prepare them for or disqualify them from future service opportunities."
