"The Blog Almost Too Boring To Be The Most Boring Blog in America ... for Over 5 Years!"

until it got too many red cards from Wounded Duck and the Boredom Enforcement Committee ... now the tortoise's goal is to get to 10 red cards so he can get Big Dog to drive down and take a good long walk with the tortoise

P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

Arizona highways, and my location last night :-)
Greetings from Cibola and Quartzsite, La Paz County, Arizona!  I walked 0.55 miles in 12 minutes this evening.  I can't get the map to show elevations, but it was hilly so I know it was at least 20 feet.  Tortoise rating:  6.6. Chapter 3 totals: 69.23 miles walked in 27 hours 36 minutes, with 4,095 feet climbed, and 11 swims totalling 4,240 meters in 4 hour 34 minutes.

Here's a map:

Today's last word:

I read Alma 21-22 and Amos 7-8 today.  Check this verse out ...

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a afamine of bread, nor a bthirst for water, but of hearing the cwords of the Lord:  Amos 8:11

Take it from this tortoise who tries to smile passionately ... I miss the words of the Lord more than bread or water when I have to go without them for a time ...  thank goodness there are lots of easy, portable ways to have them with us.

Cheerio!
