Today the pictures are much better than the stats! I walked more than 2.20 miles, with 20 feet climbed (on the stairs), in 1 hour 5 minutes, in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida. Tortoise rating: 6.9. Chapter 3 totals are now 81.14 miles walked in 32 hours 14 minutes, with 4,557 feet climbed, and 11 swims totalling 4,240 meters in 4 hour 34 minutes.

Today's last word: I read Micah 2, Alma 32. Alma 32 begins a classic discourse on faith. Books could be devoted to exploring everything that is here, so I simply present three verses for your consideration that highlight some of the key points:
"And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." Alma 32:21 There are lots of things that are true that we can not see. Faith is the key to the process that lets us know of the truth of such things.
"And thus, if ye will not nourish the word, looking forward with an eye of faith to the fruit thereof, ye can never pluck of the fruit ofthe tree of life.
"But if ye will nourish the word, yea, nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, it shall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life. Alma 32:40-41 Faith really is like the growth of a plant. Both take constant nourishment and care ... and if they receive it they will flourish, if they do not they will quickly wither and disappear.
