"The Blog Almost Too Boring To Be The Most Boring Blog in America ... for Over 5 Years!"

until it got too many red cards from Wounded Duck and the Boredom Enforcement Committee ... now the tortoise's goal is to get to 10 red cards so he can get Big Dog to drive down and take a good long walk with the tortoise

P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

3-120

Today's walk was a repeat of yesterday's, but my GPS and HumanaFit gave me credit for an extra 0.2 mile. I'll go with yesterday's distance numbers rather than those on the map below:  1.6 miles with 75 feet climbed in 28 minutes.  This bring my chapter 3 totals to 132.27 miles walked in 51 hours 36 minutes, with 8,730 feet climbed, and 14 swims totalling 4,640 meters in 4 hour 57 minutes.  Please click on the line below for a map and more:

Today's last word ...

My morning walk, listening to Sister Julie Beck, recently released General Relief Society President, speak in April 2012 LDS General Conference:

"President Harold B. Lee shared this vision. He said: “Cannot you see why the Lord has put it upon the … Relief Society to visit these homes? Because, next to the Master himself, there are none in [the] Church who have a more lovely touch, a more complete understanding of the hearts and the lives of these individuals.”22 "

Cheerio!
