Mile 223. Tortoise got a lovely treat this evening when Josh, Ethan, and Riley came for dinner, the Kansas - Villanova basketball game, and a walk. Knowing Ethan and Riley would each be bouncing basketballs to the park and back, Lou did a little "pre-walk" to add some climbing to the mix by walking a half mile from his house partway up the Overlook trail and back. Today's walk was 3.75 miles and had a 4.5 tortoise rating earned by climbing 309 feet in the 1.88 mile uphill portion. Average elevation was 3354. This walk burned 587 calories in 82:45 minutes, a pace of 22:04 minutes per mile. It was Lou's thirty-fourth 5k walk of 2016.
