3-16

I helped people today, and in the course of that walked 0.5 miles in 15 minutes, including climbing 10 feet up stairs.  Total walking, for chapter 3 since resuming May 1, is 16.00 miles in 6 hours 13 minutes, with 258 feet climbed.  I did my "devotional on the go", which is actually something I try to do daily but just don't mention often.  I have some memorized scriptures that I recite in my head and ponder as I go ...
2 Nephi 25:26, D & C 88:119, D & C 4:1-7, 1 Nephi 3:7, Articles of Faith 1:1-13, and Moroni 10:3-5.  I like all of it, but am especially moved by "when ye have read [these things], that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts."  My gratitude for His mercy every time I consider those words is overwhelming to me.


Today was Darin's birthday.  I think from now on I will simply eat what is left of Willyne's piece of birthday cake when she is done, it was delicious but that would have been plenty for me now that my body has already adjusted to this new way of life.  The evening bowl of frosted mini wheats is my fiber answer to try to conteract the cake, ice cream, cheese, etc. working through my system.  Live and learn!
