P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

3-31

I walked 1.09 miles this evening, with 43 feet climbed, in 20 minutes.  Chapter 3 totals are 27.93 miles walked in 11 hours 15 minutes, with 433 feet climbed, and 3 swims totalling 520 meters in 28 minutes.


I listened to "Abide in the Lord's Territory", by Elder Ulisses Soares of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, while walking.  He states that
"Our daily question must be 'Do my actions place me in the Lord's or in the enemy's territory?'".  I especially liked his reference to President Thomas S. Monson's "simple formula by which you can measure the choices which confront you.  It's easy to remember: 'You can't be right by doing wrong; you cant be wrong by doing right.'"  I also read Hosea 5-7 and Mosiah 21-22 earlier today.  The Lord  may ask us to be patient when we are reaping the results of rejecting him.  But if we are persistent and patient in our prayers, he will answer us!
