We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

I walked to the bank, then up to the Valley Academy Charter School construction site.  It was great to see that they have recovered from the serious wind damage just 1 1/2 weeks ago, you'd never know it to look at it now!


I walked 2.31 miles in 45 minutes today, including 115 feet climbed.  Read on for a map and more pictures:
Chapter 3 totals are 50.73 miles walked in 20 hours 17 minutes, with 1,838 feet climbed, and 9 swims totalling 2,920 meters in 2 hour 53 minutes. It was my fifth category 5 climb, and first since June 14.  Totals of my category 5 climbs is 9.35 miles with 703 feet climbed in 3 hours 17 minutes.

I took my Nutrilite vitamins and also Omega 3 and Cortisol Support with water at breakfast.  At dinner, I had the Omega 3 and Cortisol Support again, plus my daily dose of crestor.  My doctor is watching my cholesterol and other lipids, he has me on this daily routine ... and wishes I would lengthen the walks.  I'm getting there, Doc!

I pondered my memorized devotional this morning, it always blesses me.  I also read Alma 1 and Joel 2, which goes into detail about momentous events to come, and ends with these encouraging words:

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall acall on the name of bthe Lord shall be cdelivered: for in dmount eZion and infJerusalem shall be gdeliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in thehremnant whom the Lord shall icall."
