"The Blog Almost Too Boring To Be The Most Boring Blog in America ... for Over 5 Years!"

until it got too many red cards from Wounded Duck and the Boredom Enforcement Committee ... now the tortoise's goal is to get to 10 red cards so he can get Big Dog to drive down and take a good long walk with the tortoise

P. S. This blog listens to its readers. We have the Benjamin Category Override for 5+ mile walks and now, it humbles Tortoise to say he has been named "Lou", by Doug Jr, in memory of Mr. Consistency himself, Lou Gehrig. Tortoise can hardly type the words to think he is in any way comparable to the noble Iron Horse. Thank you!

3-76

No mapped walk for Sunday, but I know I walked at least 0.5 miles, climbing 10 feet, in 12 minutes as I travelled to Athens, Georgia.  Chapter 3 totals are now 74.85 miles walked in 29 hours 42 minutes, with 4,308 feet climbed, and 11 swims totalling 4,240 meters in 4 hour 34 minutes.

Today's last word ... I read Jonah 3-4, Alma 27-28

"And thus we see the great call of adiligence of men to labor in the vineyards of the Lord; and thus we see the great reason of sorrow, and also of rejoicing—sorrow because of death and destruction among men, and joy because of the blight of Christ unto life."  Alma 28:14

My heart leaped when I saw this notice in the LDS Newsroom this morning ... "The historic Hyde Park Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) in London, England, has been remodeled and rededicated as a chapel for worship services and as a visitors’ center."

Cheerio!
