Recently I drove Grandmother Forsyth by the Parley P. Pratt memorial at the top of Main Street in Hurricane, and we got talking about the Confluence View Trail that starts there. She is looking for a flat 3 to 5 mile trail to walk for her birthday next month, and the start of this trail looks promising. We wound up agreeing that I would walk it first and report back if it continues flat. Today I took that walk.
It's not flat by any means, but I made it a nice loop walk. 1.46 miles with 271 feet dropped to the Virgin River and then climbed in 36 minutes 33 seconds

Chapter 13 totals through 19 days, 24.18 miles walked, with 3,626 feet climbed, in 9:40:46.
Took my Youngevity supplements and vitamins; also put Duracream on my hands, arms, face, and neck to heal sun damage. Took Crestor, Omega 3, and cortisol support with my dinner. Eating totalled 2884 calories.
Today's final word ...
From reading in 2 Nephi 9 ...
"Yea, I know that ye know that in the body he shall show himself unto those at Jerusalem, from whence we came; for it is expedient that it should be among them; for it behooveth the great aCreator that he bsuffereth himself to become csubject unto man in the flesh, and ddie for eall men, that all men might become subject unto him.
"For as adeath hath passed upon all men, to fulfil the merciful bplan of the great Creator, there must needs be a power of cresurrection, and the resurrection must needs come unto man by reason of the dfall; and the fall came by reason of etransgression; and because man became fallen they were fcut off from the gpresence of the Lord.
"Wherefore, it must needs be an ainfinite batonement—save it should be an infinite atonement this corruption could not put on incorruption. Wherefore, the cfirst judgment which came upon man must needs have dremained to an endless duration. And if so, this flesh must have laid down to rot and to crumble to its mother earth, to rise no more."
-- 2 Nephi 9:5-7
A very clear statement on the need for an infinite atonement. I don't know how to adequately express thanks for the wondrous gift of the atonement.
"O, my beloved brethren, turn away from your sins; shake off the achains of him that would bind you fast; come unto that God who is the brock of your salvation."
-- 2 Nephi 9:45
Cheerio!
